South Middle School Performs Lion King, Jr.
South Middle School’s production of Disney’s The Lion King Jr. was a vibrant celebration of storytelling, music, and student talent. From the powerful opening moments of Circle of Life to the heartfelt journey of Simba finding his place in the Pride Lands, audiences were captivated by the energy, creativity, and spirit of the performance. The cast brought beloved characters to life with confidence and heart, while the crew worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every lighting cue, costume change, set piece, and transition came together seamlessly.
This production was especially meaningful because of the perseverance, diligence, and dedication shown by our students throughout the process. Despite the challenges of rehearsing without access to South’s stage for much of the season, our cast and crew remained committed, adaptable, and determined to deliver an unforgettable show. Their resilience and teamwork were a true reflection of what it means to be South Strong.
A special thank you goes to the team at NFA North for graciously welcoming us into their building and supporting our students throughout this experience. Their kindness and hospitality helped make this production possible, and we are incredibly grateful for their partnership and support.
South Middle School's Lion King, Jr. was directed by Ms. Danielle Small.
